Warren NH, 2017

This beloved Dartmouth institution is situated in the White Mountain National Forest and is owned/operated by the Dartmouth College Outing Club. It is open to the public 3 seasons out of the year. In 2017, the original log building was dismantled and the lodge was built anew. The updated building is designed by Maclay Architects, is 11,000 square-feet, and features a highly unusual round log timber frame. Each log is custom-scribed to its neighbors, seamlessly concealing solid wood joinery within. The log work here was contracted and refined by John Nininger of the Wooden House Company. I was one of two production leads working under John, heading the fabrication of trusses and other log assemblies.
